John Au
Director
John Au is a Director at the Peacock Capital Group. He has more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on corporate finance and M&A. John has extensive track record in leading corporate finance & M&A transactions in different perspectives and in different stages; it ranges from buy-side to sell-side to corporate, and from startups to growth companies to listed companies, respectively. John has vast network in the Greater China region, and he helps clients to access capital markets of China and international markets with his expertise in cross-borders transactions.
John graduated cum laude from University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Born and raised in Hong Kong SAR, John is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Johnny Zhu, CPA
Director
Johnny Zhu is a Director at the Peacock Capital Group, and he is a Certified Public Accountant. He has joined the Group since 2013 and he has more than 10 years of experience in real estate and financial service industries. Johnny began his career at Ernst & Young LLP in the United States. With his comprehensive knowledge of legal and tax frameworks for real estate investments, he had served a broad range of clients in real estate sub-sectors, including developers, PE funds, and REITs.
Johnny graduated from University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Taxation. Born and raised in Shanghai, Johnny is fluent in Mandarin and English.
Terry Ding, CFA
Associate Director
Terry Ding is an Associate Director at the Peacock Capital Group and is a CFA charterholder. He has joined the Group since 2017. Terry spent the early part of his career in the engineering related profession in Bureau Veritas (China), and he transited into the financial field after getting his MBA degree in New Zealand. Prior to joining the Group, he was in charge of the fundraising practice of a medical equipment company in Shanghai and was a risk analyst at FlexiGroup in Auckland, New Zealand.
Terry graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with bachelor's degrees in Marine Architecture & Ocean Engineering and Administration of Public Affairs, and an MBA degree from Auckland Institute of Studies. Born and raised in Wuxi, Terry is fluent in Mandarin and English.
Sherry Li, CPA
VP
Sherry Li is a VP at the Peacock Capital Group, and she is a Certified Public Accountant. She has joined the Group since 2020. Sherry has rich experience in financial management, accounting treatment, risk control, budget, tax planning and auditing. In the past 10 years, Sherry worked in world top multinational companies and banks. Prior to joining the group, sherry was a financial controller in a NEEQ listed company and a project manager in a global top 10 accounting firm in China. Furthermore, she participated in the annual audit of listed companies and provided preliminary guidance for IPO-bound companies.
Sherry graduated from Shanghai Institute of Technology, majoring in Accounting. Born and raised in Shanghai, Sherry is fluent in Mandarin and English.
Carol Zhou
AVP
Carol Zhou is an AVP at the Peacock Capital Group and has joined the Group since 2019. She has over 6 years of experience in the financial services industry in China and Australia. She has been focusing on cross-border M&A advisory and has worked on both buy-side and sell-side advisory mandates for domestic and cross-borders M&A activities in the Greater China region. She specializes in automotive, automation, electronics, and F&B sectors. Prior to joining the Group, she worked as a Vice President of Translink Corporate Finance in China.
Carol graduated from Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Banking and Finance. She is a certified paraprofessional Mandarin/English interpreter and is a CFA level III exam candidate. Born and raised in Sichuan Province, Carol is fluent in Mandarin and English.
